Please join us for the many events that we
will be hosting during the 2008 Jokara-Micheaux Film Festival.
There will be many family friendly films, stimulating symposiums
and workshops, events, receptions and parties – all for your enjoyment. You
will experience how film can make a difference in enhancing a
community and you’ll share in the vision of the festival which
is to provide a setting that showcases this beautiful place in
Georgia as ideal for developing a viable and profitable film
industry business.

filmmaking exciting and successful.
- Learn about what goes into film making,
how we can learn from the past movie industry experience,
what is in store for the industry in the future.
- Discover beautiful Southwest Georgia -- filled with picturesque small towns, their own
unique southern way of life, beautiful historic treasures,
and protected natural resources.
- Come and take pictures with the stars and get your
personal autographs 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Block Party: Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Blakely, GA.
The Block Party festivities will be located at the Blakely Courthouse Square, 10:00
AM – 4:00 PM. There will be a feature film screening of
Amazing Grace by Ken Wales at
10:00A.M. at the Blakely Cineplex.

- Bed race (create a bed that will wow the
crowds and win the race)

General admission is free and this includes
the film screenings, workshops and
symposiums and the Saturday Block Party in Blakely, GA.
The cost of the festival breakfast events is $10 per
breakfast. Lunch is on your own.
Reserve a seat or table at the Black Tie
Celebrity Dinner, $100.00 per person or $750 for table that
seats eight. The Lena Baker Story will be the premiere
screening.
