Southwest
Georgia Is the Place to Be
Everyone
and Anyone is Invited
This Labor Day weekend, the Third Annual
Jokara-Micheaux Film Festival takes place in the towns of Blakely, Colquitt and Camilla
in southwest Georgia. A host of celebrities and film industry experts are
expected to join educators, students, movie watchers, festival
lovers and the local communities in “Celebrating Film Southern
Style”. It is an event to attend, to support, to enjoy and to
be inspired.
The Jokara-Micheaux Film Festival provides a
setting for show business industry professionals and
non-professionals to come together, be educated in and celebrate the art of film
and television production. The festival seeks to support film as a medium that
can make a positive impact on society and provide valuable
cultural insights to all viewers, young and old alike.
It is a venue that will spotlight Southwest
Georgia – with its rich history, down-home culture, picturesque
towns, and well-kept rural settings – as the perfect setting for
the business of filmmaking, thus promoting long term economic
growth in the southwest Georgia area. For more
information, or to reserve your place at this special event,
